Genotyping-by-sequencing analyses for phylogeny and plant breeding

Date: April 14, 2020

Time: 9:00 – 17:00 AM

Organizers:

Gatersleben, Germany

Description:
Genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) is a fast and relatively easy method for discovering and genotyping SNPs without any prior sequence information. In this workshop, we will be performing assembly, clustering and SNP calling of the GBS data. The dataset will be afterwards used as input files for the inferring the phylogenetic relationship and genome-wide association study(GWAS)

Program:

- Introduction into GBS
- People with own data sets can give a short (max. 5min) introduction into their projects (objectives)
- GBS analysis
- Phylogenetic analysis
- Population genetic analysis
- GWAS analysis

Note:

The workshop will be one day with hands-on tutorial.
The tutorial will be sent to participate before the workshop. Therefore, the participants are expected to read it.
The participate will need to bring their own laptop computer.
All participants who attend the workshop will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the workshop.
